REGULATIONS on the Fourth International Open Festival of Decorative and Applied Arts "Textile bouquet"

1. BASIC PROVISIONS

1.1. The International Festival of Decorative and Applied Arts "Textile Bouquet" (hereinafter - the Festival) is a project aimed at demonstrating the creative achievements of artists and craftsmen working in various genres and techniques of artistic textiles. The name of the festival should be interpreted as a variety, a multitude ("bouquet") of the most diverse artistic textile techniques in modern decorative art.

1.2. The authors of the idea and the organizers of the Festival:

Museum of the History of the city of Minsk,

Art Gallery "University of Culture" (Minsk),

"Moscow Center for International Cooperation" in the Republic of Belarus ("House of Moscow" in Minsk),

Belarusian State Academy of Arts (Minsk).

1.3. Festival Partners:

Specialized stores of sewing equipment, fabrics and accessories for patchwork sewing "Hobby Shop" (Minsk).

Mass media of the Republic of Belarus.

1.4. Objectives of the Festival:

- preservation and development of national and folk traditions of textile arts, their integration into the modern socio-cultural sphere;

-demonstration of innovative solutions and trends in textile art;

-presentation of artists and craftsmen working in traditional and modern techniques of decorative and applied art and artistic textiles;

- promotion of creative cooperation of authors from Belarus, Russia and other countries, their professional and cultural ties.

1.5. The motto of the Festival – 2022 is "Beauty will save the world".

It is not natural for beauty to save the world, but staying in the world of beauty is the only hope of the world…

A person's gaze is able to discern beauty in all things…

Everyone sees and understands beauty in their own way and puts their worldviews into this concept. For one, beauty is a mother's smile, for another, places associated with native nature ... External beauty, internal beauty, the beauty of relationships, the beauty of the soul, love, faith, goodness, truth, human reason…

What's the main thing?

1.6. The Festival will include exhibitions (including personal ones), lectures, master classes, creative meetings with authors, presentations, fashion shows, etc. (the detailed program of festival events will be announced separately).

1.7. Dates of the Festival: April 6 - 10, 2022

1.8. Exhibition venues:

National Center for Contemporary Arts of the Republic of Belarus (Minsk, Nekrasova str., 3),

Vladislav Golubk's Living Room (branch of the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus (Minsk, Starovilenskaya str., 14),

Museum of Belarusian Folk Art in Raubichi (branch of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus),

Shchemelev Gallery (Museum of the History of the City of Minsk, Revolutsionnaya str., 10),

"Moscow Center for International Cooperation" in the Republic of Belarus ("House of Moscow" in Minsk, 86 Kommunisticheskaya str.),

Art Gallery "University of Culture" (Palace of the Republic, Minsk).

2. TERMS OF PARTICIPATION AND THE ORDER OF THE FESTIVAL

2.1. The Festival is an open event. Belarusian and foreign authors are invited to participate in the Festival (without limitation in age and level of professional skill). Participants can be both individual craftsmen and creative teams (clubs, studios, associations) working in various techniques of artistic textiles, as well as museum staff, teachers, art historians, students.

2.2. Author's and collective works, as well as curatorial projects can be presented.

The works can be performed in both traditional and experimental textile materials and mixed techniques: patchwork, weaving, embroidery, applique, knitting, dolls, costume, textile collages; traditional textile items and designer art objects, textile sculptures and avant-garde products.

Three nominations participate in the exhibition project:

1. Professional artists.

2. Сraftsmеn.

3. Children's studios, art schools, young talents.

All participants of the Festival will receive diplomas and a booklet of the festival.

The Grand Prix is the highest award of the festival.

1, 2, 3 places in three nominations.

The best curatorial project.

Audience Award.

The organizers reserve the right to establish a Special prize of the Festival.

2.3. To participate in the Festival, you must fill out an Application (APPENDIX 1) and send it to the e-mail address of the Festival Organizing Committee:

teksbuket@mail.ru and nato_2002@mail.ru (for Belarusian and foreign participants) no later than 12.02.2022

Photos of works with a high level of resolution are attached to the application (the file size for photos of works is from 1 to 5 MB).

In the subject of the letter, it is necessary to specify the name of the participant and the region (example: Ivanova A.A. RF, Moscow).

2.4. Selection procedure:

The number of works from one master admitted to the photo selection round is limited to 10 items, but the expert council selects no more than 2 works for the general exposition.

Collective works may allow a separate series.

The works submitted to the festival must correspond to the declared theme. Each work should have an accompanying text that reveals the creative intent of the author in accordance with the concept of the project.

The height of the works should not exceed 2 meters.

2.5. The selection of works for participation in the exhibition of the Festival will be carried out by the Expert Council of the Festival (consisting of professional artists and art critics on textiles, members of the Union of Designers and the Union of Artists of Belarus and Russia) according to the materials previously sent in accordance with paragraphs 2.2. and 2.4.

The authors are notified of the decision of the Expert Council by e-mail before 02/22/2022.

2.6. The procedure for organizing expositions:

The works selected for participation in the Festival are brought by the authors independently or through a proxy (organization) to the address indicated in the confirmation letter of participation in the Festival within the time specified by the Organizing Committee of the Festival.

Planar works selected for participation in the Festival must have mounting brackets: a drawstring (sleeve) 10-15 cm wide, with a mandatory slot in the middle if the width of the work exceeds 1m 30 cm; a rail (included), other necessary equipment. Panels without wings and fasteners are not accepted.

At work (on the reverse side) must be sewn label in Russian and English with the following information: country, city, author's full name/band name, title, year of creation, the material, the size (vertical X horizontal X width (when available) to see).

2.7. The organizers of the Festival reserve the right not to include in the exhibition work, past correspondence selection, but not meeting quality criteria-site selection.

2.8. The organizers of the Festival are not responsible for art objects and their images presented in violation of the copyrights of third parties. Responsibility in these cases is assigned to the person who submitted an application for participation in the Festival.

2.9. All participants of the Festival pay an organizational fee in the amount corresponding to 15 USD at the exchange rate of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus upon arrival in Minsk during registration. Participation of children and students is free of charge.

2.10. The return of works to the authors is carried out on the last day of the Festival.

2.11. The authors of the works give their consent to the publication of the works in whole or in fragments in the media for advertising and educational purposes, demonstration of works at Belarusian and international exhibitions (within one calendar year).

2.12. All costs of delivery, return and insurance of works for the time of exposure are borne by the author.

2.13. The festival assumes a full-time format of participation. Absentee participation is possible only by agreement with the organizing committee of the Festival.

2.14. The Organizing Committee of the Festival is formed to coordinate the work, organize the program of the participants' stay, and cover the event in the media (APPENDIX 2).

2.15. For the participants and guests of the festival, an excursion and cultural program is provided by the tour operator "Cultural Adventures" (APPENDIX 4). All applications for participation in excursions, cultural events, as well as accommodation, meals, transport services should be sent to the following email address: nato_2002@mail.ru (The program can be supplemented).

2.16. During the Festival, it is possible to implement copyrighted works (in agreement with the authors of the works).

"Evening of friendship" with dinner in a restaurant in the center of Minsk (for those who wish, additional).

Breakfast.

The work of the exhibitions of the Textile Bouquet Festival. Presentations. Meetings with masters, authors of works.

Master classes (according to a separate schedule).

In the evening, for those who wish to attend a performance at the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Belarus (by prior request, ex. ticket for an additional fee)

The full cost of the whole program of stay at the festival, including hotel accommodation, meals (half board), excursion program, entrance tickets to museums, transport (transfer): 18 000 Russian rubles (at the National exchange rate. Bank of the Republic of Belarus).

The price includes:

Meeting of the Festival participants at the carriage, transfer to the hotel with early check-in, entrance tickets to museums according to the program, half board (breakfast, lunch) in restaurants every day, sightseeing, cultural program.

Accommodation in a hotel in the center of Minsk, 2/3-bed rooms with all amenities

Meals: 5 breakfasts, 5 lunches

Transportation: transfer to the hotel, to exhibitions, to the venue of master classes; on excursions, a tourist class bus.

For those who wish by prior request:

- visit to the ballet performance at the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of the Republic of Belarus (surcharge for vh. ticket)
